For the dancer in all of us

Growing up I always wanted to dance.  I loved to watch the local ballerinas practice on pointe in the studio downtown.  I would go in the woods near the orphanage I lived in and pretend for hours.  I would dance and dance preforming for the trees and wildlife.  When I was 15 I went to live with a foster family.  My foster mother was a dance teacher.  One day when no one was home I began my secret ballet and my foster mother caught me.  She told me I had potential and began to teach me.  I learned fast.  I even learned pointe.  Now today at 25 I find myself still sneaking away to dance for nature.  We all have a little ballerina in us.  Most of us grew up watching Flashdance and wanted to be Alex.  Secretly I still do.  This blog is dedicated to all the dancers and Flashdance….  May you dance on!
